Q   Does Tokyo Monthly 21 offer hotel rooms or services?

A Nope.  TM21 offers self-catering, furnished apartments for stays from 7 days or more.  For more information, please see About Us page.


 

Q Do you have properties outside of Tokyo?

A  Unfortunately not yet but keep checking back for new listings.


 

Q What do you mean by fully furnished apartments?

A Our apartments are fully furnished with kitchen, bathroom, furniture, appliances, tableware, cooking utensils, and other housewares. For more details, refer to the Apartment Fittings page under Features.


 

Q Can I rent an apartment for less than a week?

A Our minimum short-stay leasing is the 6 nights and 7 days.


 

Q How soon can I reserve an apartment?

A  Depending on the situation, we usually need about a week to process the booking.


 

Q Do I need a Japanese guarantor?

A Nope.  We are changing the game.

Q Do I need any special documents when I sign the CONTRACT at your office or the apartment to be leased?

A  We require a copy of your passport and valid credit card as security deposit.


 

Q How does the payment process work?

A If planning to make a payment by bank wire transfer, you are requested to pay the first rent and security deposit to a bank to be specified in the APARTMENT FIXED-TERM LEASE CONTRACT (CONTRACT) at least 7 days before your expected move-in day.


If planning to make a payment by credit card, you are required to first send us the following information at least 7 days before the expected move-in day via fax(+81-3-5425-2472) or by phone (+81-3-5425-2547) or the Questions or Comments field in the Contact Us form (VeriSign Secured): name of card company, name of card holder, card number, and expiration date.

Q How and where can I get my room key(s)?

AYou will receive your key(s) when you visit our office, once you have settled the CONTRACT and paid the first rent and deposit.


 

Q Can I extend the lease term already settled in the CONTRACT?

A  You may sign a new lease once the singed lease expires however the room can only be extended on an availability-basis only.


 

Q Is there a phone in the apartment?

A There is no land line in the apartments. We recommend that you purchase a rental phone from the airport or from Softbank.

QIs internet connection available?

AYes, free internet connection is available.

  • Please note:

  • (1) Traffic/processing should be limited to reasonable quantities.

  • (2) We cannot guarantee the speed of access to Internet.

Note: We provide a LAN cable as part of our amenities.


 

QIs there a set move-in and move-out time?

AYes. We have.

  • Move-in time:

  • Between 10:00am and 7:00pm at our office or at an apartment reserved.

  • Move-out time: 

  • 2:00pm or earlier

Please contact us in advance, if you have a difficulty meeting the set-out times above.


 

QHow can I get a deposit back?

AYour deposit (if paid) will be refunded to your bank or credit card (if paid) at your option.


 

Q Is it possible to stay overnight on the last day of the lease?

A No, you are required to move out by 2:00pm on the last day of the lease.
